This Privacy Policy explains what information Plentibytes ("we," "us") collects through the Plentibytes platform, websites, sensors, and communication services (the "Service"), how we use it, and the choices you have. It applies to waste service providers ("Operators"), their team members, and the people they serve ("Customers").

1. Information we collect

  • Account and contact information — name, email address, phone number, company, and address, provided by you or by your Operator.
  • Service data — containers, pickup schedules, service requests, routes, and related records maintained by an Operator.
  • Sensor data — fill level, battery, signal quality, and the location captured when a sensor is installed.
  • Communications — text messages, portal chats, and emails exchanged through the Service, including conversations with the AI assistant.
  • Technical data — log and device information needed to operate and secure the Service.

2. How we use information

  • To provide the Service: managing waste operations, routing, sensor monitoring, and communication between Operators and Customers.
  • To send service communications — pickup notifications, delays, sign-in codes, confirmations — by text or email.
  • To power the AI assistant, which answers using the records your Operator maintains.
  • To secure, troubleshoot, and improve the Service.

3. Text messaging privacy

  • We use your mobile number to deliver service-related messages you have consented to receive and to respond when you text us.
  • No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent are not shared with any third parties, except with service providers acting on our behalf solely to deliver the messages (such as our messaging carrier).
  • You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP, or get assistance by replying HELP. Message frequency varies; message and data rates may apply.

4. How information is shared

We do not sell personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their marketing. Information is shared only with:

  • Your Operator (for Customers) — your service records and communications belong to the relationship with your waste provider.
  • Service providers that process data on our behalf under contract — cloud hosting (Google), messaging delivery (Twilio), email delivery (Resend), and AI processing (Anthropic) — solely to operate the Service.
  • Legal requirements — when required by law or to protect the rights, safety, or integrity of the Service.

5. Data retention

We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations. Operators control their business records; when an account or record is deleted, associated personal information is removed from active systems within a reasonable period.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit, access is restricted by role and organization, and sign-in codes and tokens are stored hashed. No system is perfectly secure; please protect access to your own email and phone, since they are used to sign in.

7. Your choices

  • Update your name, phone number, and notification preferences (email and text) in your profile at any time.
  • Reply STOP to any text to stop text messages.
  • Customers may contact their Operator — or us — to access or correct their information.

8. Children

The Service is for business waste management and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected on this page with an updated date.
